For those of you who are unfamiliar, Hindus traditionally believe in a "caste" system. Essentially, they believe that you are born into a certain live based on how you were in your previous life. So if you are born to wealthy parents, you must have been a good person in your previous life. If you are born to impoverished parents, that must mean you were a bad person in your past life. Same goes for people born with disfigurements and so on.
It's basically a really fucked up excuse to not care about anyone who is less fortunate than yourself. It's also worse than that. Some even use it as a fucked up excuse to not only not help those who are less fortunate, but to actually inflict harm upon people less fortunate in order to further punish them for their supposed bad deeds of their past lives.

The caste system that some Hindus still practice is just another one of those things that comes to mind when people ask why I actually actively oppose mythologies such as Christianity and Hinduism.
