More Christian Terrorist Attacks

Few have been paying attention to that other ongoing terrorist threat

On September 11, 2006, the fifth anniversary of the terror attacks that devastated our nation, [Christian fundamentalist David McMenemy] crashed his car into a building in Davenport, Iowa, hoping to blow it up and kill himself in the fire.

Since 1977, casualties from this war include seven murders, 17 attempted murders, three kidnappings, 152 assaults, 305 completed or attempted bombings and arsons, 375 invasions, 482 stalking incidents, 380 death threats, 618 bomb threats, 100 acid attacks, and 1,254 acts of vandalism

You know, people often ask me how I can be a "devout" Atheist. Here's the thing, besides suppressing medical treatment and scientific research, nearly all religions are an incredibly violent force. You would think that after the years of Christian terrorist attacks, or at the very least the September 11th Islamic terrorist attacks people would get it -- but at last they don't.

Those people who are "moderate" (or at least moderate enough to ignore passages of the Bible or Qur'ān that tell you to kill those who don't accept your God) are giving validity to those who are crazy enough to believe the things in that book you proudly carry around.
